“This piece represents a defense mechanism frequently used by humans whereby we refuse to accept a verifiable reality. Subjected by this irrational action, we deny a reality to avoid an uncomfortable truth. We are so trapped in the webs of comfort we ourselves have spun, we overlook what we need and deserve. Our rose tinted glasses guide us though decisions and we are often blinded from the truth.

We choose to stay in an alternate reality that does not serve us by keeping out eyes covered. We fear that the truth and the light might burn us. Carl Jung, a very famous Swiss psychiatrist once said “ there is no consciousness without pain”
